HC Deb 04 February 1972 vol 830 c216W
Mr. Laurance Reed

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he will take to ensure that technical information and expertise on pollution abatement are fully reciprocated as between Common Market countries.

Mr. Peter Walker

I acknowledge the value of exchanges with other countries of technical information and expertise. These already take place both on a bilateral basis and through international organisations, and, where appropriate, I am extending them. Further exchanges may well be appropriate within the framework of the Common Market, but we shall take care as always to employ our skilled personnel in the manner which will achieve most in the fight against pollution.
