§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (LORD SANDFORD)These studies are designed to collect detailed information not otherwise available on the organisation, staffing, funding and achievements of a number of local voluntary organisations. They have been carried out by volunteers at Leeds, Salford, Wales and Reading Universities and at Newbury and Lewes. Their travelling and other out-of-pocket expenses are being met from public funds.
