§ 48. Mr. Adam Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundancies have occurred in the Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath employment exchange areas, respectively, since June, 1970; and how many have been announced as taking place in the next month.
§ Mr. BryanRedundancies involving some 1,620 work-people in the Dunfermline and 80 work-people in the Cowdenbeath employment exchange areas were recorded as due to occur within the period 1st June, 1970, to 21st January, 1972, inclusive. My Department has no knowledge of any redundancies which have been announced as due to occur in these areas from 22nd January, 1972, onwards.
