Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundancies in the coal and paper industries have been notified to him in the Lothians, and at what industrial undertakings, during the last three month period; and what assistance his Department has given the redundant workers towards finding re-employment.
§ Mr. BryanRedundancies in the Lothians involving some 430 workpeople in the coalmining and 370 in the paper industry were notified to my Department in the three months 12th October, 1971, to 10th January, 1972.
