§ Mr. Thomas Coxasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will order an inquiry as to the reasons why Mr. Albert Alloway of 81 Coteford Street, London, S.W.17, has been refused a constant attendance allowance.
§ Mr. DeanNo. Decisions have been given by medical practitioners, appointed in accordance with the National Insurance Act 1970 by the Attendance Allowance Board, first in connection with the claim and secondly following an application for review, that the medical requirements for the attendance allowance are not satisfied. Mr. Alloway's mother has recently applied to a National Insurance Commissioner for leave to appeal on a question of law and the papers are being sent to the commissioner's office.
