§ 49. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement regarding the fish conservation agreement which he has signed as a member of the North-West Atlantic Fisheries Commission.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartAn agreement comes into force on 1st January limiting314W catches of cod and certain other species in most parts of the convention area. It is the first large-scale use of this highly effective form of conservation, and Her Majesty's Government welcomes it.
