HC Deb 18 December 1972 vol 848 cc287-8W
Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will pay the sum of £10 after Christmas to those categories of pensioners previously excluded on the grounds of problems of quick identification, namely those earning over £.18£25 per week and those war pensioners and industrial disablement pensioners without supplementary benefit or some other additional benefit.

modation is available in the Newark area and in Nottinghamshire for chronically sick and disabled persons under 65 years of age under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.

Mr. Alison

None in the Newark area. There is a 21-bed unit at King's Mill Hospital, Mansfield, and the Sheffield Regional Hospital Board has plans to build a unit at Nottingham.
