§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a detailed comparative list of the social and welfare services and benefits which will be available to each of the countries of the Nine on Great Britain's entry into the European Economic Community.
§ Sir K. JosephComparative social security tables prepared by my Department as at 1st August 1970 covering Great Britain and the Six, and as at 1st January 1970 covering the European Free Trade Association countries, including Denmark, are in the Library of the House.
The European Economic Community is preparing comparative social security tables, including medical care provisions, as at 1st July 1972 covering the Nine. I cannot say when these will be available. Other general welfare provisions do not lend themselves to similar comparison.
