§ The Prime MinisterOn 21st November, I met a delegation accompanied by the hon. Member for Flint, East (Mr. Barry Jones) and my hon. Friend the Member for the City of Chester (Mr. Temple) about the future of the Shotton steelworks. I am also kept informed of other Ministers' discussions on the future of the steel industry in Wales. The Government are considering the investment programme proposed by the British Steel Corporation and will take full account of the social as well as the economic implications of these proposals.
