§ 41 and 79. Mr. Terry Davisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) why he has not allowed more than the statutory six weeks for objections to the route of the Bromsgrove section of the proposed M42 motorway;
(2) whether he will extend the period of time for objections to the route of the Bromsgrove section of the proposed M42 motorway.
§ Mr. SpeedAs announced last March, proposals for the whole of the M42 are being accelerated and, consequently, the objection period was limited to six weeks only. However, arrangements are now being made for a public inquiry to be held next summer into these and the related proposals for the northern section of the M40. All objections received in the meantime will be fully considered.
