asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what percentage of the beef cows and heifers in Wales qualify for the hill cow subsidy; and what is the percentage for the United Kingdom, giving the figures for the latest available date.

The percentage figures for 1971 are 68 for Wales and 50 for the United Kingdom.
