§ 20. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when the penalty of £5 for a person found 410W guilty of using a commercial van in the Royal Parks was first imposed and how the present fine of £20 compares in value with the original penalty.
§ Mr. AmeryThe penalty of £5 was introduced on 15th December, 1926. I am advised that this is approximately equivalent to £21 today.
