§ Mr. McLarenasked the Secretary of State for Employment what observations he has received from Rio Tinto Zinc Limited on the Windeyer report on cases of lead absorption at Avonmouth.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithThe company replied to my right hon. Friend's letter on 26th July stating that in general it accepted the recommendations contained in the report. It referred to the need for further study of certain specific recommendations contained in the report and my right hon. Friend has asked the Chief Inspector of Factories to discuss these matters with the firm at an early date. Arrangements for such a meeting are being made.
