§ 49. Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many hearings of industrial tribunals have had representatives of trade unions sitting as assessors, and how many have not, since the coming into force of the Industrial Relations Act in so far as it affects industrial tribunals.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkNo such assessors have so far been appointed in connection with cases before the tribunals under the Industrial Relations Act. If the hon. Member considers that there is a need for assessors in certain cases he should take the matter up with the presidents of the tribunals.
