What progress has been made in planning the celebrations next year of our entry into Europe.

VISCOUNT ECCLES

Planning by the Committees under the chairmanship of Lord Goodman and Lord Mancroft has now reached an advanced stage. More than 150 events are being arranged. Details will be announced shortly. In addition to the £250,000 set aside for activities planned by Lord Goodman's Committee, the Government have agreed to make up to £100,000 available to Lord Man-croft's Committee. Parliament will be asked to approve the necessary Supplementary Estimates in due course.
