§ Mr. Michael HeseltineThe Department has recently completed in consultation with other Government departments and Industry a study of the application of vertical, short, and quiet, reduced takeoff and landing aircraft applied to short-haul air transport. The implications of the conclusions and recommendations are now being examined but it is too early to pronounce on these.
