§ 60. Mr. David Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will urge in the Security Council the need for the Government of Israel to respond as a matter of urgency to the desire expressed by the Council 250W in its resolutions of 26th June and 24th July that all Syrian and Lebanese military and security personnel abducted by Israeli armed forces from Lebanese territory on 21st June, 1972 should be released.
§ Mr. GodberThe Security Council Resolution of 21st July requested the President of the Council and the Secretary-General to make renewed efforts to secure the return of the personnel abducted from Lebanese territory on 21st June. In the view of Her Majesty's Government it would be premature to initiate further action in the Council while these efforts are continuing.
