Mr. Rhodes

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will state the percentage of the 15/17 age group who were registered or estimated as unemployed, as an average for the years 1963 and 1970, respectively, with figures for both sexes and figures for the two months of highest and lowest unemployment in each year, respectively.

Percentage rates of unemployment are not calculated for young persons separately. The following table shows the average number of boys and girls registered as unemployed in the years specified together with figures for the months with the highest and lowest numbers registered as unemployed in this age group.
