No. 767 Phantom Training Squadron

Mr. Wilkinson

asked the Minister of State for Defence if No. 767 Phantom Training Squadron of the Fleet Air Arm is to retain its identity and remain under Royal Naval control following its transfer from Royal Naval Air Station, Yeovilton to Royal Air Force, Leuchars.

No. 767 Phantom Training Squadron has now been disbanded and will be replaced by a training flight to be formed at RAF Leuchars on 1st September. This flight will be under RAF command and control but apart from its Commanding Officer, its aircraft and maintenance staff will be provided by the Royal Navy.
