§ Mr. van StraubenzeeMy right hon. Friend is very conscious of the importance of encouraging interest in trees among young people, and the Department of the Environment and the Forestry Commission are arranging in consultation with this Department for advice and publicity material to be made available to local education authorities in connection with Tree Planting Year. It will he for local education authorities and schools to decide on their individual responses to this worthwhile campaign.
