asked the Attorney-General what was the number of legal causes or matters in which the Official Solicitor has intervened in the last 12 months, and their nature, by categories.

The latest figures available are for the year 1971. The Official Solicitor was concerned in a total of 16,762 cases details of which, as published in the Civil Judicial Statistics, are as follows:
