§ Mr. Alec Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many inquiries his Department is currently handling from firms interested in locating new factories in the Borough of Rhondda and in Wales, respectively.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantThis year to date 26 inquiries have been made about sites in the Rhondda and 256 in respect of Wales as a whole. These inquiries have been followed up by the Department and in many cases visits have been made by the firms concerned to particular localities. It is not possible to say at any one time how many firms may remain actively interested.
