§ Mr. Clark Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what authority will control the temporary airstrip in the Falkland Islands.
§ Mr. KershawGovernmental control will be exercised by the Falkland Islands Government, acting through its Director of Civil Aviation. Under our Exchange of Notes with the Argentine Government of 2nd May, 1972, the temporary aerodrome will be operated and maintained by personnel from the Argentine mainland with the participation of local personnel.
