HC Deb 01 August 1972 vol 842 c79W
Mr. Cockeram

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what consultations he has had with the Transport and General Workers Union and other unions involved in the container dispute in the docks.

Mr. Maurice Macmillan

I have had a number of meetings with the Transport and General Workers Union. My officials have also met the National Union of Railwaymen.

Mr. Cockeram

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on action taken by his Department concerning industrial relations in the docks.

Mr. Chichester-Clark

I have nothing to add to my right hon. Friend's statement on 28th July. There is a debate on industrial relations later today.—[Vol. 841. c. 2229–30.]
