§ Mr. Peter ThomasBy the end of May, 50 applications for a private car allowance had been received from those who had not previously sought any assistance from the Invalid Vehicle Service. Of these, 32 were successful. In addition, some 240 allowances are now being paid in lieu of former benefits.
