§ Mr. NobleThe number of applications dealt with at Companies House in the first quarter of 1972 was 40 per cent. higher than in the same period of 1971. The number of applications received increased even more. The staff complement has been increased and the position is being kept under review. There will not however be any improvement for some considerable time unless there is a marked fall in the growth in applications because of the time needed to recruit and train staff.
