§ Mr. NottThe latest figures available for both countries relate to 1968 and are as follows—New Zealand US $1,666 (fiscal year beginning 1st April, 1968); United Kingdom US $1,586. The figures have been taken from the United Nations Yearbook of National Accounts Statistics but that for the United Kingdom has been revised on the basis of the latest published estimates. The figures have been converted to US dollars at official exchange rates as in the United Nations publication, but this does not necessarily take account of differences in internal purchasing power.
