They have been taken from the United Nations Yearbook of National Accounts and relate to 1968, the latest year for which the information is available. The United Kingdom figures have been revised on the basis of the latest published estimates. The figures have been converted to United States dollars at official exchange rates as in the United Nations publication, but this does not necessarily take account of differences in internal purchasing power.
