HC Deb 11 April 1972 vol 834 cc161-2W
49. Mr. Lomas

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will arrange for the Minister of Transport Industries to visit Huddersfield to investigate the traffic conditions in the centre of the town caused by the delay in the completion of the M62 motorway.

Mr. Graham Page

My right hon. Friend, in conjunction with the police, is doing all he can to help relieve traffic conditions in the centre of Huddersfield. It may be possible to open a further length of the M62 this summer. I do not consider that a personal visit would help.
