§ Mr. Dudley SmithLegislation is not required to give effect to recommendations. Standards of protection against pollution of the factory environment are, however, among the matters dealt with in the Factories Act and the regulations made under it. Most of the I.L.O. con-126W gories contained in "Training for the Future".
§ Mr. BryanMost initial training of young people will continue to be the responsibility of employers. About 1,000 young people aged 16 to 18 were being trained under the Government's vocational training scheme on 29th February, 1972. The Government are considering what future provision should be made for those in special need such as the disabled and the unemployed.
