§ Mr. Rankinasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) what proposals he has received from companies or persons interested in purchasing the John Brown or Cammell yards from the liquidator of Upper Clyde Shipbuilders; whether the Government will provide financial aid, if necessary; and if he will make a statement;
(2) whether normal conditions of production now prevail at the Govan yard of Upper Clyde Shipbuilders; and if he will make a statement.
