§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe treatment and disposal of manure from intensive farming raises scientific and practical problems on which much work is at present being done by the agricultural departments, research establishments and other interested bodies. It is not clear, at this stage, what economic inducements, if any, would be practicable or appropriate. The construction of slurry ponds and tanks is already eligible for grant under the Farm Capital Grant Scheme.
