§ Mr. Graham PageThe West Pennine Water Board has applied for a drought Order under the Water Act, 1958, to permit the reduction of the compensation water required to be discharged from several of its reservoirs, and this is receiving urgent consideration.
The Mersey and Weaver River Authority does not oppose the application, and the only objection made to the proposal has been withdrawn.
My right hon. Friend expects to reach a decision on the application within the next week or so.
