§ Mr. Grayasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action he has taken on the guarantees requested by Irish Shipping Limited in respect of the ships which it wishes to have built at Govan shipyard.
§ Sir J. EdenAlthough there are a number of unresolved details, the Government have agreed to offer guarantees of the kind requested. A further statement will be made when negotiations are completed.
