§ Mr. ChannonNo research as such is carried out but a careful watch is kept on this problem in consultation with the police authorities and safety precautions are adjusted as seems best from time to time.

§ Mr. ChannonNo representations about accidents in the Royal Parks have been received for some time past but the British Safety Council wrote to my right hon. Friend on 27th July last drawing attention to the absence of zebra crossings in the Parks. In reply I referred to the view, which has been accepted for many years, that zebra crossings in the Royal Parks would be very unsightly.
