§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if the anti-smoking display card being shown in chemists' shops in Scotland and issued by the Scottish Health Education Unit is being distributed to pharmacists in England.
§ Sir K. JosephThe Scottish Health Education Unit and the Health Education 211W Council—which serves England, Wales and Northern Ireland—keep in close touch so that they may learn from each other's experiences in developing sometimes different approaches to health education problems. The Council will consider discussing with the chemists the use of the display card that has been distributed to health service bodies in Scotland. The Council and the Pharmaceutical Society have had discussions about the pharmacist's role in health education, and the Society has expressed its willingness to contribute to action in the field of smoking and health.
