HC Deb 19 October 1971 vol 823 cc106-7W
Mr. Sutcliffe

asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will make a statement on his inquiry into the dispersal of Civil Service work into the development areas.

Mr. David Howell

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave him and other hon. Members on 14th July, 1971.

I should emphasise that the nature of the work under review, much of which has a high policy content, may make it more difficult to relocate at a great distance from London, but development areas will be thoroughly considered alongside other places as the review proceeds.—[Vol. 821, C. 97–8.]
