  1. 1. Information on occupancy of office passed by enumerator to colleague in borough rate office. Prosecution instituted and enumerator fined £20.
  2. 2. Information on his own Census form mentioned to complainant by an assistant to an assistant Census officer at a party. As leakage without malice, Census official reprimanded and apology sent to complainant.
  3. 3. Complaint that tenant's name known by borough rate office. Taken up with borough council, which stated that this knowledge was gained through its own official and not through any employee of the Census.
  4. 4. Complaint that recently-altered surname was used by Malta lottery. Investigation showed no evidence that information was gained through Census organisation but that use of present surname could have been due to a clerical error.
  5. 5. Complaint that enumerator made a visit to a farm in an official capacity due to information gained while on Census duties. Enumerator stated that official visit was purely routine and that no information relevant to it could have been gained while on Census duties.
  6. 6. Complaint that information on Census form was known to neighbour and to officials at local hospital. Investigation established that relevant information known to local social service agencies and that first statements complained of by neighbour occurred before Census.
