§ 41. Mr. Kenneth Bakerasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry 24W what estimate he has made of the effect on British exports to the United States of America of the 10 per cent. import surcharge imposed by the American Government.
§ Mr. NobleI prefer not to venture an estimate which could be misleading but if the surcharge lasts for any length of time it is bound to have a marked effect on some of our exports.
