Mr. Ralph Howell

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) what quantity of malt has been imported into the United Kingdom in each of the months of July, August, September and October, 1971; how each figure compares with imports in these months in 1970; and what was the cost of these imports;

(2) what quantity of maize has been imported into the United Kingdom in each of the months of July, August, September and October, 1971; how each figure compares with imports in these months in 1970; and what was the cost of these imports;

(3) what quantity of barley has been imported into the United Kingdom in each of the months of July, August, September and October, 1971; how each figure compares with imports in these months in 1970; and what was the cost of these imports.
