§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if, in view of the unemployment position in the Newport, Monmouthshire, employment exchange area he will now authorise and bring forward the roads schemes already submitted to him for approval by the local authority, including the provision of a dock access road.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasA number of large road schemes, including the Old Green Interchange, are already planned for Newport in the very near future. Other schemes including the Docks Access Road are under consideration.
