§ 67. Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment in view of the statement in Fair Deal for Housing that the Government will take the earliest legislative opportunity to propose increases in the maximum penalties for harassment and illegal eviction, whether he proposes to introduce legislation to this effect before 31st December, 1971.
§ Mr. AmeryI reiterate the Government's intention to act on this at the first legislative opportunity, but I cannot yet give any indication as to timing.
