§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if, in view of the unemployment position in the Newport, Monmouthshire, employment exchange area, he will give approval to the plans of the British Steel Corporation with a view to expediting major expansion schemes in the area and to improving competitive efficiency and increasing overall employment.
§ Mr. RidleyThe corporation already has major expansion in hand at Llanwern and regard will be given to regional and employment questions in settling approval for 1972–73 of the capital development programme.
