asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many people were registered as unemployed at the Huntingdon employment exchange, and what proportion of the working population there that figure represented, on the latest available date;

(2) how many people were unemployed in the Huntingdon constituency, and what percentage of the working population there that figure represented, on the latest available date.

At 8th November the provisional number registered as unemployed in the area covered by the Huntingdon employment exchange was 442 and the rate of unemployment was 2 .5 per cent. For the Huntingdon and St. Neots area, which is the greater part of the constituency, the figures were 629 and 2 .6. Information is not available for the whole of the constituency.
