§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the average price obtained for council houses which have been sold by each of the councils in the Greater London area during 1969, 1970 and 1971, respectively.
§ Mr. ChannonThis information is not collected by the Department, since the price at which local authorities sell, within the terms of my right hon. Friend's general consent to such sales, is their own responsibility. The total amounts of the selling prices, and the numbers of houses concerned, for most of the London authorities are published annually by the Institute of Municipal Treasurers and Accountants in their Housing Statistics (England and Wales) copies of which are available in the Library.
