§ Dr. Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will carry out an investigation to establish the average number of man-hours per day which are lost as a result of delays on the way to work by employees travelling along Bridge Street, Goole, because bridges along that road are closed to traffic.
§ Mr. BryanSince it is for the highway authority to decide what, if anything, needs to be done to reduce delays to traffic, I do not consider it would be appropriate for my Department to initiate an investigation of the kind proposed.
