asked the Secretary of State for Social Services to what extent the increase from £4 million in July-October, 1970, to £6 .9 million in October, 1971, in the average weekly benefits paid in unemployment pay and supplementary benefits was accounted for by the increase in rates and the increased number of unemployed, respectively.
