HC Deb 16 November 1971 vol 826 cc83-4W
Mr. Skinner

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has to meet the General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress to discuss the subject of unemployment.

Mr. Higgins

My right hon. Friend meets representatives of both the Trades Union Congress and the Confederation of British Industry at the regular meetings of the National Economic Development Council. The council is currently devoting much attention to matters related to inflation, unemployment and economic growth.
