§ Mr. RidleyFor the period January to August, 1971, inclusive, imports of newsprint were 522,000 metric tons (58 per cent of domestic consumption) and domestic production 386,000 metric tons (42 per cent.). Imports of paper products were 1,159,000 metric tons (32 per cent.) and domestic production 2,464,000 metric tons (68 per cent.).
