§ Mr. Willeyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what was the number of sixth-form colleges and the number of pupils attending them at the latest available date; and what proposals have been made for further sixth-form colleges.
§ Mr. van Straubenzee:In January, 1971 there were 12 sixth form colleges with a total of 5,281 pupils. 33 local education authorities have plans for a further 53 colleges.
